This is a page created by Amy, Devin, and Kim for Ms. Fantini's 6th period environmental science class.
It is regarding Geothermal Energy and Biomass, which is why that header would be there.
Below is a description of what Geothermal energy is, a power point, and a side movie to explain the process in a new way.
Biomass into Geothermal energy:
B: Consists of all different types of things like wood, gas, alcohol, crops, and all of this is taken to a hopper.
These things are burned, and this heat is used to reheat slightly cooled superheated fluid from the earth.
G: We drill into the earth and get the superheated fluid through wells, this water was absorbed from presipitation and heated by magma.
This fluid released steam, but when it's dumped into the holding tanks it loses some of this heat, which is replaced when the heat boils water again from the biomass.
This steam is forced into a turbine turning it, which turns magnets, that charge electricity.
This is Geothermal Energy and Biomass in a nutshell.
